The following information will need to be communicated to your Gestational Carrier to avoid confusion on our call with her:</p><ul><li>Inform her that ART Risk is the insurance agent (not the insurance company) that will be assisting her with completing her application for the maternity medical insurance that will be used during her journey.</li><li>The ACA application will be completed over the phone with one of ART Risk's licensed Application Agents.</li><li>Your GC should also be aware of how the required payment for the insurance carrier will be handled. <ul><li>Does she need to have funds on hand herself and will have a debit/credit card ready in order to submit the information for the binder payment to be paid? OR</li><li>Does ART Risk have funds on hand for the binder payment and she does not need to give any payment information?</li></ul></li><li>Let her know in advance that ART Risk will be contacting her over the next few days and that our phone calls and texts come from a (661) area code.   At this time, our team will explain to the GC about the application process and time frame needed for the application.<ul><li>The GC needs to answer the phone calls, texts, and/or emails. </li><li>Our calls may come up as spam, but we always leave a message. </li><li>We will complete 3 touch points to connect with the GC. </li><li>We let the Intended Parent know if we are not able to communicate with their Gestational Carrier. </li></ul></li><li>The Scheduling Call - 5-10 minutes<ul><li>We will confirm the exact amount of time that is needed for the application appointment: this can range from 20 minutes to an hour. </li><li>We will confirm that all information submitted in the portal is accurate (address, zip code, DOB, etc). </li><li>We will verify with GC that she has the funds and is prepared to make the payment (applicable for insurance carriers that do not accept third party payers).</li><li>We will confirm provider and hospital choices based on information submitted.</li><li>We will confirm she has no other insurance that is currently in place.</li><li>The GC will be informed at this point that a photo of the front and back of their driver’s license will need to be submitted (for CA and CO residents only).</li></ul></li></ul><p><br></p><p>Giving your Gestational Carriers this information will aid in making this a smooth and transparent enrollment.
