This service benefits both you and your gestational carrier. Insurance companies often make mistakes in processing claims, or the provider may have put the wrong diagnostic code on the claim and the insurance company will deny the claim. This can be even more important when the gestational carrier has two insurance policies. We would correctly determine her coordination of benefits when the surrogate has two insurance policies and follow up on all claims processed and all bills provided to us and help make sure that they are paid correctly according to the procedure and the plan benefits. This would help ensure that you are not paying more than you should and that the maternity bills are paid in a timely manner.
We will send you a letter of understanding from my company ART Risk via email through DocuSign. If you agree and wish to proceed with us, please review and sign and date the form in DocuSign. Once we receive back the signed letter of understanding we will invoice for these services. The cost of this service is $1,750. An invoice will be emailed to you and can be paid by you directly or paid from your trust account. Please confirm now how you plan to pay the service fee. Then we will contact your surrogate and introduce ourselves and ask for her permission to speak to the insurance company and her providers regarding her claims, and request that she send me copies of her medical bills and any insurance communication that she receives. We do need her agreement in this process as well, in order to be provided access to her claims and bills. Once she agrees as needed, we will contact her insurance company(s) and medical providers to assure they have the correct information to process according to her policy. We will then match the invoices to the claims processed through her insurance and make sure that all claims are adjusted correctly and then send the bills to you, or your agency if you prefer for payment from your escrow. Then we will follow up with the provider to confirm the payment was received.
